The state government of Sao Paulo Brazil said two people identified as teenager armed with guns and wearing hoods, entered the school and began shooting sporadically at students.
They opened fire on the students in a school in southern Brazil, killing six people before taking their own lives.
Authorities say five students and an administrator at the school were killed with others sustaining various degree of injuries,with many more traumatized by the incidence.
President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro announced that gun ownership controls would be loosened.
Brazil has the largest number of annual homicides in the world, but school shootings are not common place.
