It was a landslide victory for Incumbent governor of Kogi state and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Yahaya Bello as he was declared winner of the gubernatorial elections held in the state on Saturday 16 November.
According to The Independent National Electoral Commission Returning Officer for the election, Professor Ibrahim Umar, said he polled a total of 406,222 votes to defeat his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival Musa Wada who garnered 189,704 votes to come second place.
The returning officer also disclosed that the total number of cancelled votes is 149,576.
He was declared winner having scored the highest number of valid votes.
