There was pandemonium at the funeral ceremony of Ivorian super star,Dj Arafat, just after the artist was laid to rest at Williamsville cemetery in Abidjan’s working-class Adjame district, his fans denied the dead rest as they brought out his coffin and began taking pictures of his corpse.
The 33-year-old whose real name was Ange Didier Huon, lost his life after in a ghastly road accident earlier in the month.
Pictures and videos of him shared on social media show fans opening his coffin and undressing the late musician body to check for tattoos and identify him.
Until his death, the late artist was a popular African musicians in the Francophone world, with millions of fans and had been referred to as the “king” of coupé-décalé an Ivorian form of dance music.
He is survived by his fans and a host of family members.
