POLICE CLASHED WITH IPOB MEMBERS ON A PROTEST,KILLS ONE IN DELTA
Asaba the delta state capital had never heard it this hot as police unleashed mayhem on the members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) along Nnebisi road, Asaba, Delta State.
Reports has it that IPOB members staged a peaceful protest in Asaba, the State capital, but the Police strung into action and immediately dislodged the protest.
Although it couldn’t be ascertained what informed the protest in the first place,one of them was reportedly shot by the police in the process of dispersing the IPOB members.
Refering to the incidence The Assitant Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Chuks Orisewezie said that the command has arrested four IPOB members, with one seriously injured.
According to him “The IPOB members started protesting and attacking our men at A Division, Asaba, and in the process they were nabbed”.
He said “They assembled at Lagos- Asaba expressway, and later marched to Nnebisi road to launch attack at the police station”
He also spoke on the items recoverd from the IPOB members to include pump action gun, four jack knives, charms, a Biafran flag and cans of fuel purportedly to raze down the A’ Division police station.
