Student Of The University Of Benin Commits Suicide After Break Up

A Female student of the University of Benin Miss Christabell Omoremime Buoro 21, has allegedly committed suicide.

The deceased student was a 300-level Medical Laboratory Science student of the institution.

According to eyewitness who saw the items used by her in the room after her corpse was discovered,  said she gulped in a large amount of a deadly insecticide, she allegedly mixed the deadly insecticide, Sniper with a soft drink,  left a suicide note where she stated that she was going to take her life  because the guy she loved didn’t reciprocate the love.  an empty sachet of detergent was also part of the items found at the scene where she took her life.

According to reliable sources the unfortunate incidence occured at her residence in her hostel flat located at Plot 4, Yehudi Lane, situated off Newton Street, Ekosodin, a community behind the University, her corpse was discovered by her neighbours and fellow students on tuesday,  so no one could ascertain the exact day or time she took her life.

Men of the Ugbowo division of the Nigerian Police Force were on ground after the matter was reported to them, they read out the note written by the Late student to  onlookers at the scene,which clearly stated it was a  case of suicide.

The Police were said to have invited two persons for questioning over the content of the letter.

 Michael Osasuyi who spoke on behalf of  The University confirmed the incident, and said the school was waiting for a detailed briefing  by The Police concerning the matter since the University’s stake in the matter is because the deceased was a student of the school, Consequently  the  incident did not take place within the University’s premises.
