Three Persons Lost Their Lives in Summit Air plane crash at Lukla airport Nepal

The unfortunate incidence that claimed three lives  and injured several others occured when  the aircraft with registration 9N-AMH skidded off the the runway while preparing to take off and hit two helicopters parked at the Lukla-based helipad which is 30-50 metres from the runway.

Two other captains were also involved in the crash,Captain RB Rokaya who was flying the aircraft and Captain Chet Gurung of Manang Air who was in the helicopter,they were both badly injured but receiving treatment at Grande hospital,but are said to be in stable conditions.

Another victim who equally lost his life include Assistant Sub-Inspector Rudra Bahadur Shrestha, who was fatally injured in the incident and  immediately airlifted to Grande Hospital in Kathmandu for treatment,however he couldn’t make it as he died while undergoing treatment as confirmed by hospital sources.

The aircraft lost control and hit the helicopters of Shree and Manang Air  resulting in loss of lives  destruction of the helicopters and other properties.
