Todd Palin, husband to former Governor of Alaska and 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has filed for divorce after thirty-one years of marriage according to US media.
Papers filed in Anchorage, Alaska, on Friday was filed by her husband Todd citing an “incompatibility of temperament” as the reason for divorce such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife”.
The divorce filing and court records used initials to refer to the couple with Todd Mitchell Palin listed as TMP and Sarah Louise Palin only identified as SLP – but identify the couple’s marriage date and the birth date of their only child who is a minor, Trig Palin.
They are asking for joint custody of the child, according to the papers.
Sarah Palin was Republican Senator John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 presidential election.
She was a very vocal supporter of Donald Trump during the 2016 US presidential election.
The couple got married in 1988 and have five children together.
