The picture shows a totally nude Ms. Brown kneeling before her standing son who was just in his underwear, who was celebrating his 7th birthday.
She said she decided to go naked in front of her son who was only in his underwear because she gave birth to him naked.
But in a statement by Child Rights International, the non-governmental organization deemed her act as a ‘violation of the welfare principle of the Children’s Act and abuse of the child’s right to privacy and dignity.’
The organization also asked that the Inspector-General of Police in Ghana investigate the actress over the nude photo with her son.
As a child’s right organization that believes in upholding the rights of the citizenry, we deem this act as a violation of the welfare principle of the Children’s Act and abuse of the child’s right to privacy and dignity. We wish to notify your esteem office to investigate the taking of the said images and its circulation,” Child Right International said in its petition.
Akuapem Poloo has since apologized after facing intense social media backlash.
