Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives congress has emerged the authentic and duly elected governor of Imo State,

The supreme court today 14 January declared Hope Uzodimma  winner of the 2019 governorship election in the state. Also  Read this.

The decision of the court was handed down by a seven-man panel of justices led by Tanko Mohammed with  Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun delivering the led judgement which declared that the candidate of the people’s democratic party Emeka Ihedioha was not duly elected by the people of Imo state, and declared that Hope Uzodinma was the valid winner.

 Senator Ifeanyi Ararume of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) filed the appeal challenging Ihedioha’s victory at the poll in the March 9 election. Also Read.

The court ordered that Hope Uzodinma be sworn-in immediately as the duly elected governor of the state.
