Ghanaian Woman With Two Wombs Speaks


Elizabeth Asamoah a UK-based Ghanaian lady   AKA “special lady”  has revealed  her health condition of having two wombs and two private parts.

Elizabeth also disclosed that her condition lead to her having multiple surgeries in a bid to correct the anomaly.

 She further revealed that she has lived with this anomaly for quiet some time.

 She has also taken steps to educate people especially  the womenfolk  on her experience,this was why she granted an interview  with  Accra based radio station 3FM,

She narrated her experiences and the surgeries she had had to undergo because of the complicated nature of the rare disorder.

 “I discovered I had a double womb and a double vagina canal in 2015 after an MRI scan, so I had to undergo about 7 surgeries,” she revealed.

She went further to explain that she also had Endometriosis: a sexual disorder in which tissues linings of the uterus grows outside the uterus.

Delving further into the matter she says that there are no symptoms or sign that the womb is duplicate,only that it tells on one’s health in that the woman becomes vulnerable to complications  like fibriods, irregular periods,  irregular fainting and even  infertility.

“I had a premature baby after four years of not conceiving, and going through such health situations wasn’t easy,” she explained.

According to her,it’s a rare condition and requires diagnosis to know.

 “Research says it can be found in one out of 350 women and the person might not even know she has it”.

Elizabeth is now more than ever very vocal on the matter after her ordeal. She is now back in her home country Ghana as a voice the women of  that country need to listen to through  her pet project.
