River State Governor Nyesom Wike has been told to hand over  Dr. Joi Nunieh, former Acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) who is said to be taking refuge at the government house in the state.

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Gobum Mukan, made the call on the governor to hand over Joi Nunieh while appearing on ARISE TV Friday.

Wike had rescued the ex NDDC boss when armed Policemen laid siege at her residence on Thursday, thereby denying her access to leave her residence.

The police later broke the back door of the house, to gain entrance into her home to effect her arrest which was vehemently resisted by Gov.Wike.

Dr. Joi Nunieh was billed to be in Abuja on Thursday to testify before the House of Representatives on the alleged corruption in the NDDC.
