A strange incidence occured at a wedding reception in Chino California, were some uninvited guests stormed a wedding reception over the weekend only to beat the groom to death with a baseball bat.

It happened that the reception took place close to the residence of the two wedding crashers who are brothers, Rony Castaneda Ramirez, 28, and his 19-year-old brother, Josue Castaneda Ramirez, they decided to attend the wedding even when they didn’t know the groom.

Joe Melgoza 30, was found suffering from a blunt-force trauma to the head in the backyard of a home located across the street from the reception venue in Chino, California, at around 2.20am on Sunday.

He was thereafter rushed to Chino Medical Centre, but couldn’t survive leaving behind his wife of several hours Esther  Bustamante Melgoza, and his 11-year-old daughter.

Chino Police Department said the brothers that launched the attack on  Melgoza did not  know him, but lived not far from the home of his wife’s family in the 13200 block of 17th Street where the wedding reception was being held, and showed up at the celebration uninvited.

According to the groom’s brother Andy Velasquez, the wedding crashers  had some rude confrontations with guests at the wedding reception which later degenerated into fisticuffs, they were asked to leave  which they did, only to return a short time later armed with baseball bats.

According to his Facebook page, Melgoza and his then-fiancee, Esther, married in a modest civil ceremony back in August, five months before Saturday’s backyard celebration.

Speaking after the murder of the groom’s brother Andy Valasquez said:  ‘My brother did not deserve to die like that, he was a good man, he was a solid man,’  ‘My brother was protecting his family. They came and they murdered him.’
