‘I will collaborate with Lagos State Governnment—Naira Marley says


Afeez Fashola aka Naira Marley on Thursday agreed to shoot a video against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in collaboration with the Lagos State Government.

In a letter written  by Marley to the Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on April 9, the singer said  he will incur the full expense for the video.

“I hereby undertake to join the Lagos the Lagos State campaign against the spread of the COVID-19 by making a free audio-visual publication towards the campaign against COVID-19,”

Mrs. Aje-Afunwa approved the withdrawal of the charge against the musician and his co- defendant Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Babatunde Gbadamosi and his wife, Folashade.

Lagos State Government withdrew the charges leveled against them.

They were arraigned for attending the house party hosted by Nollywood actress Funke Akindele and her husband JJCskillz despite a lock down and a social distancing order imposed on Lagosians by the state government.
