As Nigeria puts plans in top gears to restart commercial flights, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) has deployed robots in its airports all over the country some report claims.
The robots would be used for passenger facilitation processes including profiling, check-ins, temperature checks as well as detection of security threats including dangerous goods and arms.
EEE Nigeria Section shared a video on social media claiming the profiling robot is on the ground at the nation’s capital Abuja.
They shared the video with caption; Be the 1st to know that robots are now at Abuja airport in readiness for flight commencement. Hope we can do one for IEEE Nigeria section?
Airports and airspace in Nigeria have been on total lockdown since March to discourage travels within and outside Nigeria in order to combat the spread of coronavirus.
