Liverpool has won their first title in 30 years after Chelsea beat Manchester City on Thursday night.
Manchester City’s failure to win at Chelsea on Thursday was enough for Liverpool’s coronation as Premier League champions.
After a goalless Merseyside derby at Everton on Sunday, Liverpool shook off the cobwebs to beat Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
That win moved Liverpool very close to winning the title after a 30-year wait.
Liverpool legend, Kenny Dalglish speaking to BT Sport said “The last two years and since Jurgen’s come in has been very positive. He’s been fantastic and epitomizes everything Liverpool Football Club stands for. Whatever they got, they have deserved it.
“Onwards and upwards. We have a lot more happy days to look forward to as long as Jurgen is here.”
Liverpool supporters have been on the streets to celebrate the club’s success.
It is Liverpool’s 19th top-flight title and their first since 1989-90.
