Mompha released from EFCC custody after he fulfiled his bail condition


The bail condition slammed on Ismaila Mustapha a.k.a Mompha by a Lagos High Court, for him is not stringent at all, as he has promptly fulfiled his bail condition, thus re-gaining his freedom.

Mompha who was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on 14 counts bordering on cybercrime, money laundering and operating a beareau the change business without obtaining the necessary licence or permit from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Mompha who was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos was granted bail on  N100m  with one surety who must be a landed property owner.

 Justice Mohammad Liman, also ordered him to deposit his passport with the Deputy Chief Registrar of the court and must remain within the country to report at the EFCC office every fortnight.
