New reports says Leah Sharibu has given birth to a baby boy for a top Boko Haram Commander


 Abducted school girl Leah Sharibu has reportedly  given birth to a baby boy according to Daily Trust who also mentioned a source.

Sharibu was one of the Dapchi school girls kidnapped by the Boko haram insurgents  in north-eastern Nigeria on  February 19, 2018 at 5:30 pm. Also Read.

Sharibu was 14 years old at the time of the  abduction, and she has remained the only girl still been held captive, while others have been released by the insurgents.

According to Daily Trust, Sharibu  was married off to a top Boko Haram commander who lives outside Nigeria, she also was delivered of the baby early Saturday in Niger Republic.

The source according to the newspaper said the insurgents had wanted to release her few months ago but couldn’t because she was pregnant.


Leah Sharibu was denied freedom by the Boko haram sect, because she allegedly refused to denounce her Christain faith. Also Read.


Before her  abduction, she was a student of Government Girls’ Science and Technical College (GGSTC) Dapchi, Yunusari  Local Government area of  Yobe State.
