Omo-Agege Defeats Ekweremadu to Become Deputy Senate President

 A New Deputy Senate President has been elected. Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege representing Delta Central Senatorial District, becomes  Deputy Senate President of the 9th Senate

He defeated  the Former Deputy Senate President in the 8th Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu to emerge as the Deputy Senate  President.

Omo-Agege is a Nigerian Lawyer and  Politician He is senator representing the Delta State central senatorial district at the  Nigerian 8th Senate.

Omo-Agege is from Orogun in Ughelli North local Government of Delta State. He emerged the  Deputy Senate President of the 9th National Assembly on June 11, 2019 after he defeated his rival with a margin of 31 votes to win the second leadership position of the National Assembly.

 Omo-Agege  of the Apc won with 68 out of 107 votes to defeat Senator Ike Ekweremadu of the PDP who polled a total of  39 votes.
