Ondo State deputy governor Agboola Ajayi has formally dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the People’s Democratic Party.
This is coming a few hours after he was prevented by the commissioner of Police in Ondo State Bolaji Salami from moving some government properties out from the government house in Ondo State.
He resigned his membership of the party on Sunday, June 21 at his country home in Kiribo, Ward 2, Apoi, in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state.
His resignation from APC puts an end to speculations that have been on concerning his planned defection.
He also used the opportunity to immediately pick his membership card of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at his ward.
Addressing party supporters after his defection, the deputy governor said he is happy to be back to the PDP.
