The statue’s sculptor, Ian Rank-Broadley, who is most recognised for his depiction of the Queen on the British coins, is also saddled with the responsibility to create a perfect image of the late Princess.
Announcing the commencement of the project two years ago, The Princes William and Harry said: ‘It has been 20 years since our mother’s death and the time is right to recognise her positive impact in the UK and around the world with a permanent statue.’
