One of the Queen’s daughter inlaw married to Princess Anne’s son Peter Philips has expressed her desire to divorce her husband of twelve years according to reports.
Autumn Phillips is believed to have told her husband, 42, that she wants to divorce, a situation the queen is upset about.
Her husband Peter is devastated beyond words, and hadn’t seen it coming.
The couple married twelve years ago and share two children, daughters Savannah, nine and Isla, seven.
According to the Sun, some of her friends claimed that she may have been ‘influenced’ by Harry and Meghan who quit to be full time members of the royal family following Megxit.
A source close to the couple revealed: ‘Peter is absolutely devastated by this and just didn’t see it coming.
‘He thought he was happily married and had the perfect family with two lovely daughters. But he is now in total shock.’
The friend added that Autumn is a ‘favourite of the Queen’ and the shock move makes it feel as if the royal family is ‘falling apart’.
Autuum was born and raised in Canada, the couple met during the 2003 Montreal Grand Prix, where they were both working, although she had no idea he was the queen’s grand son at the time.
