Comments Off on #Revolutionnow: Court orders AGF,Femi Falana Others To Submit Memorandum
Following the re-arrest of convener Revolutionnow movement Omoyele Sowore within the court premises on 6 December by the DSS, the Senate Committee on Judiciary Human Rights and Legal Matters on Thursday asked Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, Counsel to Omoyele Sowore, Femi Falana to submit a memorandum on the alleged invasion of a Federal High Court within 24 hours.
The Senate Committee also asked the the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Tony Ojukwu, the Department of State Service (DSS) and Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu to each submit a memorandum on the incident.
Each of the memoranda is expected to give details of the events that lead to the court invasion.
Senator Opeyemi Bamidele giving the directives said that the panel is unable to hold the scheduled investigative hearing as activities have been suspended following the death of Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu who recently passed in Abuja.
