T Latifah hotel belonging to Tony Kabaka demolished by Edo State Government

T. Latifa Hotel   belonging to Mr Tony Adun also known  as Kabaka has been demolished by the Edo State Government for violating building laws as the as the structure sits across a road in the Ugbor-Amagba axis of Oredo Local Government Area of the state.


Edo State government stated that the demolition action  was executed after an injunction secured by Mr Adun against the exercise was vacated by the state government.


The structure had earlier been penciled down  for demolition, as it was illegal, without an approved building plan for a hotel and sitting across a road.

The state government said:“The deed of transfer being paraded by Mr. Adun is also not registered with the state government, according to court papers filed by Solicitor General of Edo State, Oluwole Iyamu SAN,”


Bulldozers and caterpillars were mobilized to the site for the exercise with fierce looking security operatives who  mounted guard to ensure the process was not disrupted by thugs or urchins in the vicinity.

The area was cardonned off by security operatives while the exercise lasted and in no time the edifice was in rubbles.
