Tebboune Sworn-in as new Algerian President


Abdelmadjid Tebboune who emerged victorious at the Algerian elections held on the 12 of December has been sworn in as the president of the north African country.

The 74 year-old beat other contestants at the polls to become Algerians President-elect.

At the  ceremony held in the nations capital Algiers on Thurdsay there were mounted guards in traditional red tunics, white turbans and hooded cloaks lined the way into the Palais des Nations venue of the swearing in.
