Twitter says Chadwick Boseman obituary announcement gets more “Likes and comments”ever


Microblogging and social networking service, twitter, says the tweet announcing the demise of Nollywood star  Chadwick Boseman is the “Most liked Tweet ever.”

It further described it as “A tribute fit for a King,” accompanied with hashtag #WakandaForever.

Boseman died after battling colon cancer for over four years which was first diagnosed in 2016 — and continued to work on major Hollywood films despite undergoing countless surgeries and chemotherapy,”

The tweet had garnered 6.5m love, three million retweets and 155,300 comments and still counting.

“It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther,” said a statement posted to Boseman’s social media accounts.

“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all” and filmed projects “during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy,” the family’s statement said.

“He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side.”
