Two men identified as Ishmael Akyene 34 a Ghanaian national and Daniel Akpan 29 a Nigerian have been charged with multiple counts of offences when a group of British school girls were attacked at gun point in Ghana.
Police reports that The school girls and their teachers were on an educational tour in Ghana in December last year, armed hoodlums invaded their accomodation and subjected the girls to serious sexual assault with their personal belongings carted away, the armed men also shot the Ghanaian security on duty.
The two suspects mentioned above according to the Police in the UK are been charged by The Ghanaian police.
Ishmael Akyene with 14 counts of robbery, one count of conspiracy to rape, one count of rape, one count of possession of instrument for unlawful entry, possession of a firearm, and one count of money laundering.
While Daniel Akpan, has been charged with 14 counts of robbery, one count of conspiracy to rape, two counts of rape, one count of possession of an instrument intended for unlawful entry,one count of possession of firearm and one count of money laundering.
The third suspect is still at large while police is making efforts to get him apprehended.
