Nobel Laurent Proffessor Wole Soyinka and a former senator from Kaduna State Shehu Sani are currently with the convener #Revolutionnowprotest Omoyele Sowore at the Abuja High Court in solidarity.
Not left out are the former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Professor Chidi Odinkalu and popular activist Deji Adeyanju, are in court in solidarity with Sowore whose trial resumes today 12 Feb.
The trial which was suppose to hold yesterday February 11 was stalled due to the absence of the presiding judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu. it was later adjourned till today February 12.
Sowore is being prosecuted for organizing nationwide protest tagged #RevolutionNow.
Sowore was arrested on August 3, 2019, in his home by the Department of State Services (DSS) and was in custody until December 24, 2019, he could not not meet his bail condition initially.
He was eventually released on the orders of the Attorney General of the Federation who directed the DSS to comply with the orders of the court which granted him bail.
He was released on alongside Sambo Dansuki who had been in the DSS custody for over four years.
